Overview
This is our beautiful and luxurious Star Dancer Cabin! You will be nestled up against the Great Smoky Mountains National park at our cabin. Our property borders the national park. The mountains you see out the back door are all National Park land!
Star Dancer is next door to another cabin we own named Cloud Dancer. If you have a large group consider renting both Cloud Dancer and Star Dancer to sleep up to 28 people. Each cabin is 4,400 square feet in size, secluded, and separated by a wooded lot. They are only a couple minute walk apart. If you are planning a family reunion, wedding, or other get together with a lot of people we are happy to rent both of them as long as there is the availability for dates at both properties.
Cleaning: We understand cleaning is now more important than ever. Our cleaners are using an enhanced cleaning routine to ensure the property has been thoroughly disinfected prior to your arrival. Our cleaners are using an anti-viral/antibacterial cleaner on all frequently touched surfaces such as counter-tops, door handles, light switches, and other frequently touched surfaces. Our hot tub is drained, scrubbed, refilled with fresh water, and chemicals added between each guest. We hope these extra measures make you feel comfortable during your stay at our cabin.

Star Dancer is located in one of the greatest mountain view locations in Gatlinburg. The privacy you will have here is not easily beat. If you want privacy you will get it here. The Gatlinburg area now has so many cabins built right on top of each other it is hard to find a quiet place to relax and not be seen by others. Star Dancer has great views!
The view is SPECTACULAR! The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is out your backdoor! Our rear decks offer an AMAZING view of the untouched mountains of the national park. Huge mountain peaks of 4,000 to 6,500 feet greet you as you look out the windows or stand on the rear deck. You will not find views like this at many other properties.
You will have access to 2 swimming pools on the grounds while you stay at our cabin. There are actually 3 pools, but one is closed for maintenance. These are private pools for tenant use and you and your guests are free to swim during your vacation. Pools are usually only open from Memorial Day through Labor Day under normal circumstances. The swimming pools are an easy very short drive from our cabin.
Star Dancer’s Gatlinburg location offers a wealth of privacy and calm, and is an easy driving distance to all the attractions and the national park. In Summer you’ll also have access to three nearby swimming pools. Bent Creek Golf Course, which was designed by Masters and British Open winner Gary Player, is also located just 5 minutes away.
Our cabin is great for the entire family. We have a full size arcade multi-cade with many 80’s style vintage arcade games on it. We also have an second arcade game system with over 6,000 games on it. This additional arcade system is custom made and has nearly every single Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Atari, Sega Genesis, and many other retro games loaded on it. We also have a pool table, and an air hockey table for your enjoyment.
We keep the lodge pristine and clean at all times. The property is well maintained and tastefully decorated. We stay up to date on maintenance and we keep our cabin in tiptop shape. This is a beautiful mountain cabin and you will feel at home if you choose to stay. You may find some cheaper prices for other properties, but you get what you pay for. Look over our pictures and you will get what you see.
The open-plan living/dining/kitchen area defines the main level. The three perfectly cushioned leather sofas are ideal for watching a program on the 60” flat-screen TV, taking advantage of the free WIFI, or catching up with friends and family—assuming you can draw your gaze away from the view of the mountains just outside the twenty-three-foot-high wall of windows. The room itself is a stunner—lustrous hickory wood floors, pine wood walls, and vaulted ceiling; dramatic chandeliers; furnishings that define rustic refinement—and the warm glow of the gas fireplace in the winter makes it even more inviting.
There’s room for six at the log dining table, and another six can make themselves comfortable at the adjacent breakfast bar that surrounds the kitchen. Outfitted with a full array of appliances, cookware, and tableware, plus ample granite counters and plenty of elbow room—the kitchen will please experienced cooks as much as it will those who plan to do little more than brew coffee and reheat leftovers from the previous evening’s restaurant meal.
You can also cook and dine outdoors. As well as a charcoal grill, Star Dancer has a picnic table that can seat up to ten people. There’s nothing like eating outside, surrounded by mountains and the sunshine as warblers and sparrows serenade you!
The three large bedrooms are spread out among the house, one on each floor, for maximum privacy. Each definitely qualifies as a master suite, with a king-size bed, a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, and direct access to a deck or a balcony—perfect for enjoying a romantic nightcap under the stars. We also have a queen size sleeper sofa located on the main level and downstairs in the game room.
For the remainder of your group we have 2 sleeper sofas and 4 comfortable twin size portable floor beds. The portable beds are very comfortable beds with memory foam mattresses for comfort. These simple-to-use portable floor beds can be moved to any room and laid out in the floor for ultimate convenience. When finished, these simply fold away and can be stored in a closet.
Up to 14 people can comfortably sleep in Star Dancer. There are a total of 4 1/2 baths as well, so no one will be caught waiting too long for a bathroom to come open.

Handicap Guest Info:
While our cabin is NOT ADA handicap accessible we have been asked if someone with limited mobility can access our property. Our driveway leads to the front of the cabin. There is one small step up (6 inches) to gain entry onto the main level. If you can manage this you will have access to the entire main level without having to use a staircase.
Special note on requests to bring your pet:
Dogs only please. We request that if you wish to bring a dog that the dog be crated at any times when it is not supervised by a human being inside the lodge.

Our portable beds are Milliard brand twin memory foam beds. They are quite comfy for a portable bed. They may be placed in any room for convenience. All bedrooms have full attached private bathrooms and access to a deck or balcony.

This cabin keeps us coming back over and over again
We stayed at Star Dancer in March 2022 and returned a second time in May 2023. The cabin is gorgeous. Chris does a great job communicating and making sure needs are met. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, dishes and small appliances for pretty much all meal prep needs. And we love to cook and eat primarily at the cabin when we have visited. The cabin has lots of comfy furniture and plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Views are breathtaking. The hot tub has a bit of age, but it works fine and is well maintained (and clean).
Be careful as there are bears in the area, particularly along the wide ravine that runs to the top of the mountain near Sunshine Trail. They didn’t bother us, but be aware if you travel with your fur baby. We actually just hike the mountain roads while staying in Cobly Nob because we can have our dog with us and it’s truly great exercise with the elevation gain. Dogs aren’t allowed in the national park, but we probably log more miles hiking around the cabin and avoiding travel time to the park.
We are actually staying at the next door sister cabin Cloud Dancer later this summer. It looks equally fabulous, and we know Chris will have a well-appointed and well-maintained cabin. That’s why we keep going back. Enjoy!
